White Bird Logistics & Warehousing Ltd (WBL) is a local, Midlands‑based 3PL specialist offering warehousing, packing, labelling, kitting, quality control, and multi‑modal distribution across the UK.
The challenges
WBL’s business has a significant number of long-term logistics requirements for its clients, with one particular client requiring a regional location for motor spare parts transshipment throughout the working week. As this operation could not be handled within their own hub, they needed a partner to quickly take on this transshipment operation in a safe and secure operating environment providing monitored facilities, with the flexibility of being able to scale the operation as required to consistently meet customer expectations for quick and reliable delivery.
The solution
Parseq have been able to offer WBL a comprehensive secure warehouse solution for their nightly transshipment of parts to support consistent and fast delivery across the country for its client.
Whitebird, in conjunction with Parseq, were able to:
- Provide reliable offloading and processing of incoming cages with speed and accuracy
- Cross-reference all cages against loading sheets to ensure inventory accuracy as standard
- Provide secure facilities and processing location for transshipment of bulk parts shipping cages
- Provide loading dock facilities for the distribution of restocked parts cages
- Continuous monitoring of secure location
Successes
Due to the secure nature and location of the Hellaby warehouse, WBL have been able to take advantage of their client’s need for a regional hub which Parseq have facilitated.
This has enabled WBL to process the transshipment of parts every week night as part of their operational requirements. This results in a high level of inventory accuracy and security through continuous surveillance and monitoring on site.
