Parseq has been confirmed as this year’s most forward thinking member of the business processing world after collecting the accolade of Innovation in Outsourcing at this year’s National Outsourcing Association (NOA) Awards.

The award recognised Parseq’s ground-breaking work with Metalcashcard Ltd, which helps scrap suppliers get paid following an anti-theft law in 2013 banning cash payment.

Parseq, which provides end-to-end support to small, national and international businesses, worked closely with Metalcashcard Ltd to develop an invaluable system that could quickly verify the supplier’s identification on-site using their mobile device, allowing money to be credited to their card and immediately withdrawn from any ATM.

In addition, it secured a deal with major retailers to pay between four and 15 per cent cashback into the user’s account when the card is used with them.

Parseq’s managing director, Craig Naylor-Smith said: “I’m delighted to have our team’s hard work recognised by our peers. The project with Metalcashcard Ltd was an exciting one. We used our expertise in banking, scanning technology and identification to help provide a genuinely helpful solution to an issue our client and the industry faced.

“This work is a great example of how flexible, scalable and successful our partnership approach to providing services for our clients can be.”

The NOA Awards champion excellence within the outsourcing industry. This year the awards generated a record number of entries all of which the judges noted were of an exceptionally high standard.
