PARSEQ named Employer of the Year

Business Process Outsourcer (BPO) Parseq won the Employer of the Year Award at last week’s Global Sourcing Association’s (GSA) Professional Awards ceremony.

The GSA judges recognised Parseq’s industry leading approach to learning and development. In the last five years, the business has invested £440,000 in learning and development, providing specific job training and embracing Lean Six Sigma, to support continuous improvement.

Parseq has invested heavily in training that supports its positive mental health culture. 19 colleagues at its Hellaby site are now formally trained as mental health first aiders and responders, with plans to increase the number of team members with mental health training to 20% of total staff.

The GSA also recognised the steps Parseq is taking to promote diversity and inclusion across its organisation, its support of local charities – including Bluebell Wood and Cash for Kids – and the events and employee recognition initiatives it runs throughout the year.

Craig Naylor-Smith, CEO, Parseq, said: “This award is a fantastic endorsement of everything our people do to make our organisation an exceptional place to work. We take our role as an employer very seriously, which is why our average length of service is now a remarkable 10 years. This year, 19 colleagues have collectively reached 265 years of service!

“The last few years have been tough for everyone, and I’m particularly proud that we never let our commitment to supporting our people waver during this time. This determination will continue to drive our business forward, whatever challenges come our way.”

Parseq was up against three finalists and took home the prize for Employer of the Year during the first in-person awards ceremony held by the GSA since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kerry Hallard, CEO of the Global Sourcing Association UK said: “The ceremony was a phenomenal cerebration of our industry, and it was fantastic to be back celebrating our industry in person! The industry is enjoying its biggest economic boom ever, as a result of the fantastic work we did during the pandemic. We deserve this growth, as evidenced by the submissions, which demonstrate all the fantastic work that partnerships around the world have been doing. Congratulations to all.”
