Four Contact Centre employees rack up over 90 years of long service

Four of our longest serving employees from Parseq’s Sunderland site have achieved an enormous 91 years between them. In this time, they’ve seen significant business growth and numerous industry changes along the way.

Celebrating their long service, Alan Harding, who’s been in the business for 30 years and Nicola McVay, who’s reached her 20-year service, answered a few questions around their experience at Parseq.

How’s your career progressed during your time at Parseq?

Nicola: “I first started as an Advisor. I’m now a Senior Dialler Analyst managing the Outbound Solutions team which I love. It involves managing data and the efficiency of the dialler, scripting and liaising with clients to improve current processes.”

Alan: “I’ve had various roles within IT. I started as a Computer Operator and have successfully progressed through different positions. I now work as a Production Development Team Leader overseeing the setup of fulfilment jobs, SQL reporting and extracts.’’

How have things evolved from when you first joined?

Alan: “Technology is constantly updating so a lot has changed over the years and I love that multiple opportunities arise. It keeps me on my toes and makes my job exciting.”

Nicola: “My job role consists of problem solving on a daily basis and technology also plays a big part in this. Parseq is always adapting which is great for our clients’ experience and delivering to their needs.”

What is the best thing about working at Parseq?

Nicola: “The atmosphere is brilliant!  My team’s like a little family and I’ve known most of them for a long time. I also have a manager who is very knowledgeable which is great as I have someone to develop me and my skill set. I always feel that I have the right support network around me.”

Alan: “The best thing about working at Parseq is that I know most of the people here. Everyone is so helpful and friendly.”

2018 is also a significant milestone for Diane Whiskens and Cliff Metcalf from our Sunderland site. Diane is a Resource Planning Administrator reaching 20 years and Cliff, a Telephony Engineer in the IT department, is now in his 21st year. A great achievement all round.
