Lee Dodge is one of our agents in Finance and Administration and he’s spent the last five years helping to improve operational efficiency for our clients. He does this through accurate data capture, payment processing and batching duties for a range of clients with varying specifications.
As one of our long service achievers that makes 2017 a remarkable year for the division, we wanted to find out more about Lee and what he most enjoys about working here at Parseq.
What’s kept you at Parseq for five years?
The pleasant working environment and having a good relationship with my team leader. I’ve also progressed between divisions so I’ve gained a mix of experience.
What do you most enjoy about your role?
Being trusted to make an informed judgement on an issue whilst having the support of the team leader if I need it.
What are the main skills you need to do your job?
Attention to detail is key. For example, accurately capturing customers’ details and making sure that we have zero errors during payment processing. It’s important that we get it right and sustain the level of customer experience.
Has your role changed since you joined Parseq?
Yes, and by quite a bit really. I started in 2012 as a call agent within the Contact Centre division. I had a lot of product knowledge to learn and strict compliance rules to follow. I then progressed to a Quality Assessor and undertook call monitoring whilst also moving into sales coaching to support the team. The level of compliance and engaging with customers set me up well for my current role in Finance & Administration.
What’s the biggest change that you’ve seen in the BPO/outsourcing industry in five years?
The level of growth in document management. A lot of companies are outsourcing these processes so they can focus on what they do as their core business so I’ve seen a number of new clients in this area.
And finally, can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Outside of work I sing in a rock band called ‘Thor.’ Most weekends consist of wearing tight leather trousers, capes or a kilt whilst running about on tables singing! Just an average social life really….
